Diego Arroyo Méndez is an art director and passionate photographer from Spain. He travels the world in search of the subtle: a smile, a wink of complicity, that special look that reveals our true and intimate essence. His challenge is try and catch the story behind the eyes of strangers, the underlying magic that deserves to be seen and usually remains unnoticeable.
After the Southeast and the Kenya series (click to view work), he visited Cambodia, a country full of wonders. His intention was to turn the camera around and focus on its people, trying to portray those who witnessed the atrocities of the civil war as well as the new generations and how those different realities converge nowadays.
