The AAA School of Advertising recently invited Matric scholars to join their quest to make creativity cool again! Scholars were challenged to enter their best creative work of 2013 into a competition where the winner would receive a 3-year bursary valued at R200 000 to study BA in Creative Brand Communications at the Randburg Campus.
With 123 entries from 12 schools in Gauteng, the number of entries surpassed expectations. The entries – photographs taken of Matric work and uploaded to www.aaacreativechallenge.co.za – were of an extremely high standard. The aim of the challenge is to give South Africa’s brightest and most creatively talented individuals more than just an education by providing the opportunity to establish a career using their special and unique skill.
The work of the shortlisted Finalists will be featured at the AAA Creative Showcase on the 20th of November at the AAA School of Advertising Randburg Campus. Advertising Doyen Pepe Marais, founder and Chief Creative Officer of Joe Public, will be the final judge of the Creative Challenge and will announce the winner and runners up at the Showcase in Johannesburg. Scholars, their parents and their teachers are invited to attend.
“The AAA School of Advertising offers more than just education. We ensure that our students are exposed to the world of advertising through events such as the AAA Creative Showcase where professionals from the communications and advertising industries engage with the next generation of creative talent, preparing our students for a successful career in the industry and building the industry from the bottom, up,” says Ludi Koekemoer, CEO of AAA School of Advertising.
