Draftfcb Social Marketing Executive Creative Director, Qingqile “Wingwing” Mdlulwa, is to join 23 other creatives from around the world to judge in London at the D&AD Awards 2014.
Mdlulwa, whose agency won a Bronze Ubuntu Loerie for its work on the Operation Khanyisa initiative and also beat out – for three times this year – several of South Africa’s largest and most experienced exhibition companies to win Best Stand for client ELP, has been appointed Foremen of the Radio Advertising Jury.
“I’m extremely honoured to have been called up by the D&AD Awards, one of the most prestigious worldwide,” Mdlulwa said.
“The judging event brings 188 leading design and advertising creatives together, from all over the world, to form 24 specialist juries. Over the course of one week, the year’s most outstanding work is selected and awarded, before being immortalised in the D&AD Annual later in the year.
“As Foremen, my task will be to ensure the judging criteria, voting procedures and abstentions are understood, and conduct a thorough, fair session.
“Foremen also guide their judging groups to facilitate the judging process, inspiring debate, ensuring that discussion is impartial and decisions are taken with objectivity, generosity and integrity. I’m looking forward to it.”
