Who is Justin Dingwall and what do you do?
A son, brother, fiance, godfather, friend, commercial and art photographer… a coffee-drinking and retro furniture-loving guy that lives in the city of gold.
How would you define your style or art?
Precise, calculated, emotional and dramatic. When I go into a project I have a very set idea of what I want the out come to be, but I always make sure that I am able to adapt to situations.
What inspires your work?
The old masters, current and past photographers, artists and friends. I am constantly searching for new inspiration. I find the best way to continuously be inspire, is by saturating yourself with good imagery
What are you currently working on?
My commercial work keeps me busy 7 days a week. But I am always busy with personal projects and exhibitions. I tend to work on more than one different project at the same time. I recently took part in 1:54 Art Fair in London through the Rooke and Van Wyk Gallery as well as the MIA Gallery where my series “Albus” was show cased.
Live what you’re doing, and try to delve deeper into what you are creating. Always keep your mind saturated with great work. Visit museums, read books, follow top creatives and never stop learning and growing… and practice practice practice.

Who is better, Michael Jackson or Prince?
That’s like asking if you prefer Picasso or Dali. Both different but amazing artists… but if I had to chose one, it would have to be the moon-walking skills of Michael Jackson.
