The Loeries entry deadline of 30 May is looming. This means finalising those entries as soon as possible. The Loerie standards are exceptionally high and great work can go missed if it’s not well presented and clearly understood by the judges. To simplify the process for those entering, Andrew Human, CEO of the Loeries, will host an information session at Vega School of Brand Leadership in Johannesburg on Thursday, 15 May 2014.
The workshop aimed at the PR and Events industry – but for anyone who would like to know more about entering the Loeires – will provide an overview of the 2014 Loeries Programme, the requirements for the PR and Events categories, case studies of past winners, preparation guidelines, submission dates and judging process.
The workshop is complimentary and will be followed by some drinks and snacks, with the opportunity to network and get more information.
“Winning a Loeries is not easy. We look for innovative solutions where great ideas break through the conventional media clutter. The way work is presented for judging, can have a big influence on the success of entries. We are also hoping to see a substantial growth in the numbers of entries in the PR and Events category this year,” says Human.
Human will share 6 crucial key points on how to prepare a Loerie entry in order for it to grab the attention of the judges. He will furthermore demonstrate how the entries of previous winners have fulfilled the five judging criteria of the Loeries.
“Your entry has to demonstrate that the work is worthy of a Loerie. Produce outstanding work, and present it well, and you’ll add the most prestigious bird in the industry to your trophy cabinet.“
Event companies and Exhibition stand builders are invited to the workshop as well. In partnership with Markex, the Loeries is running a preliminary competition to find the best stand at Markex, and the winning stand will receive a free entry into the Loeries. More information on this will be available on the Markex and The Event websites.
