Spirits are high after this past weekend’s Loerie Awards as Y&R South Africa celebrates one of their best years yet. The agency was awarded in the traditional and design categories, earning itself two Gold, one Silver and four Bronze Loeries, plus two Craft Certificates.
Y&R SA was awarded Bronze in the Ubuntu Award category for the second consecutive year, this time for Pick n Pay’s Khayelitsha Cookies ‘Scrumptious Cookies’ and also brings home the second consecutive Antalis Creative Use of Paper Award for Johannesburg Zoo ‘See What Comes Out In The Dark’. These results are testimony to Y&R’s maintenance of the creative momentum that has led to a continual climb within the rankings of the industry’s best.
Agency Chief Creative Officer, Graham Lang, commented on the achievement saying, “We are very proud of the high finalist to win conversion this year, and the results reflect a great spread of work between the offices and key clients.”
The campaigns that won metal were on behalf of Caltex ‘Licence to Live’, Gun Free South Africa ‘Two Hands’, Land Rover ‘Herds’, Johannesburg Zoo ‘See What Comes Out In The Dark’ and Pick n Pay’s Khayelitsha Cookies ‘Scrumptious Cookies’. The full list is detailed below:
