The recently launched World Design Capital Cape Town 2014 (WDC 2014) Pop-up Space is living up to its promise of providing Cape Town creatives with a unique place where they can eat, meet, mingle and learn.
Stop in at the WDC Pop-Up Space on Thursday 4 September from 5:30 p.m. to take part in an informal pow-wow session that aims to encourage locals to explore and use the location as a retail spot and networking platform. Food and drinks will be on sale at this interactive, First Thursdays event.
Little ones can enjoy storytelling on Saturday 6 September with Nal’ibali. She helps children to develop their imaginations, creativity, language and thinking.
To help improve the creative business through a range of activities, Cape Craft Design Institute (CCDI), a joint initiative of Western Cape Government and the Cape Peninsula University of Technology, will be working with the craft producers, designers and a wide range of other creative entrepreneurs at a workshop on Saturday 20 September.
Join in the fun on Saturday 27 September when the Cape Town Science Centre in Observatory will be hosting a workshop on typical African games. Attendees will be given an opportunity to learn more about indigenous recreation activities.
