Steyn City, in collaboration with its media partners Expresso and SABC 3’s Win A Home, have chosen the top ten contestants who will compete for a spot in the final four of Steyn City’s Interior Design Challenge.
Khosi Mthembu, Jonathon Avnon, Mlondolozi Hempe,Cayleigh Ponton, Bokang Matlosa, Horak Corver, Donald Nxumalo,Jason Sandows, Glorinah Mabaso,Lisa Scholtz and Kabelo Mohlala were among the hundreds of entrants who heeded the call to action from Steyn City.
To make it into the top 10, these contestants had to show their creative flair and submit a mood board that reflected the apartment living within a parkland paradise theme. Working off the floor plans and sections of the apartment, which they downloaded from the Steyn City website, the contestants had to detail the soft furnishings and décor items to showcase how they would interpret that space.
The top 10 stood out among hundreds but this is where things get really tough as their mood boards will be reviewed to decide who will be mentored by Amanda Elliot from Design Collective, Abilene Brodie from Head Interiors, Stephen Falcke from Stephen Falcke Interiors and Nthabi Taukobong from Ditau Interiors.
The mentors joined by Tammy Menton, a Steyn City Marketing Representative and Brian Charters from Steyn City Architecture and Design (SCAD) will sit on the judging panel to whittle down the group and determine who will be Steyn City’s Four D mentees.
To see the top 10 face the judges, watch Win A Home on Thursday 4th September on SABC 3 at 8pm.
