The 36th Annual Loerie Awards held in Cape Town proved to be a rewarding event for the Bouffant team – with the Gold for Effectiveness being awarded to Bouffant and agency FoxP2.
The Effective Creativity category is the only category in the Loeries that has the overarching requirement for entries to demonstrate a great idea that has delivered business results. The Gold-winning Ster-Kinekor campaign, ‘Great Moments at their Greatest’ included the work shot by Bouffant Director, Dean Blumberg.
“Dean’s cinematic treatment of the Intersection TV commercial was an important element of the campaign’s success. It built the tension needed to drive TV-viewers to see the ending at Ster-Kinekor cinemas where they were then rewarded with the visual splendor they’ve come to expect from the cinema,” says Doug Place, Ster-Kinekor Marketing Executive.
Dean also took home a Bronze Loerie for his Student Flights campaign with TBWA/Hunt/Lascaris, ‘Travel Before its Not Fun Anymore’.
Bouffant, now in it’s eighth year, has recently been headed by Executive Producer Peter Carr. Overall, the production house has had a successful year and aim for many more achievements in years to come.
