Rory Ownhouse SHOWS US HOW YOU DO DIGITAL PAINTING

Who is Rory Ownhouse and what do you do?
I’m Rory Ownhouse from Port Elizabeth.I’ve been working in the art world since the age of 10 and I am a digital painter.
Tell us about your work?
My work is a series of Asian portraits of females mostly with the occasional fan art. Some of my earlier works were South African in origin with models like Amy Raats
What inspires your work?
I have always had a fascination with the Asian philosophy and the beauty or the Asian countries. Not saying that my own country isn’t beautiful, there is just some kind of mysterious thing about the Asian arts and culture I find inspiring.
What are you currently working on?
I am currently working on changing my approach and moving to a more real way humanity is perceived through a portrait. Mixing 3 to 4 colour tones into my work.
What advice would you give young creatives looking to do what you do?
Don’t give up. Some people are born with raw talent that does not mean that you can not be just as good. I was born with no real raw talent to any of my art work when I started. Skills in any art form can be achieved if you keep practicing. Few might be born with raw talent ,but everyone is born with creativity.
What has been the highlight of your career thus far?
Getting featured on a super group on Deviant Art called Fantasy Legends and of course this interview.
Where can our readers follow your work?
You can follow my anytime on http://shinzoheddo.deviantart.com/ my work is always updated every week.
