Art-house film project from The Fort CEO and Rainmakers Journal founder Shukri Toefy enjoys critical acclaim in international film category.
Unwritten: A Visual Journey of Nepal has enjoyed critical acclaim in the international film category with Official Selections at the Roma Cinema Doc, Largo Film Awards and the 10th Annual Bali International Film Festival (BALINALE), and has won at the 2016 Amsterdam Film Festival and Hollywood International Independent Documentary Awards.
Unwritten is a powerful cinematic account of The Rainmakers Journal founder Shukri Toefy’s search for enlightenment in the Kathmandu Valley. Told through the pages of his journal, the film culminates in an introspective and emotional piece that is as beautiful in messaging as it is to watch.
Along this journey Toefy meets with artisans, musicians, spiritualists, scholars, and survivors of a bygone era where the knowledge handed down from generation to generation was seen as a rite of passage, in search of lessons he can apply to his own life. This begs the question, in today’s world how do leaders in business think differently in finding inspiration and inspiring others?
“Unwritten is a visual poem beautifully pieced together in such a way that is able to transport you to another country. It is a meditation on the world around us and provides an escape for the viewer able to transcend the expected,” said Shukri Toefy.
