Fort’s Amr Singh and Craig February join the Universal Studio team and Kevin Hart during the South African leg of “Kevin Hart: What Now?”.
Amr Singh, co-founder and Chief Creative Officer at Fort, along with General Manager Craig February formed part of the team as Director of Photography and Producer behind the South African leg of Kevin Hart’s new film, Kevin Hart: What Now?, which premiered in Hollywood last month on the 14th October 2016.
Joining Hollywood director and producer Leslie Small and his team from Universal Studios, Fort’s top creatives were commissioned to help bring to screen Hart’s journey through South Africa. Singh collaborated with Small, as well as the camera and lighting crew, working closely in contributing to the visual style of the film and documentary. Singh commented on how this experience would be “ a great opportunity to work with a celebrity such as Kevin Hart, but also a chance to learn a lot” from the international crew. Singh and February both played major creative roles on this international project, working with international crew to deliver a world class cinematic experience. February is particularly looking forward to seeing the film, commenting “the team at Fort did not cut and edited the South African leg and so I am very excited to see the final piece”.
The film features the biggest stand-up comedy tour ever, spanning 151 shows and a sold out NFL stadium. Hart has recently revealed that this would be his last stand up comedy special, and as such having South Africa showcased as well as our local talent made known on an international stage is a truly proudly South African moment.
