 NATIVE wins six pixels at Bookmarks 2012

Leading full-service digital agency NATIVE, took home six pixels at the dazzling Bookmarks awards evening held in Cape Town last Thursday.

“We are thrilled to have received a nod from the local digital media and marketing trades’ most comprehensive and well-regarded awards, says Ben Wagner, Head of NATIVE Cape Town. “A win at the Bookmarks means that you’ve clearly achieved a great mix of creative thinking, sound strategy; demonstrated effective use of technology and most importantly, achieved great ROI for your client.”

He congratulated all the industry winners and said that NATIVE was proud to have been placed among the best the industry has to offer.

The agency is most proud of its four wins for the #CloseTheTap campaign, a digital initiative which inspired real-world action. “This campaign marked the beginning of a new era of creative-excellence at NATIVE as it reflected many of the ideals that are core to our business. It was a digital idea that extended beyond the digital canvas. It integrated the online world with the real world and brought the power of digital to bear on a physical object – in this case, a tap. It leveraged the power of social media to effect social change – and it embodied the kind of breakthrough creative thinking that drives our agency,” says Jason Xenopoulos, NATIVE’S CEO and Chief Creative Officer.

The Bookmarks and other awards allow for new benchmarks to be set for the digital industry. They inspire healthy competition that pushes the industry forward, which is ultimately a benefit for clients and talent.

“We are also delighted with the individual award wins of ‘Best Media Planner and Best Account Manager’ received by Jarred Mailer and Leanne Godden respectively. It just goes to show that our team is the best the industry has to offer,” reiterates Wagner.
