The official Short&Sweet Short Film Experience is coming to Jozi

The official Short&Sweet Short Film Experience is coming to Jozi Shores this November in proud association with the delightfully curious Hendrick’s Gin
Attention courtesans of culture and trawlers for truncated cinema! Following three hugely successful seasons, Cape Town’s original short film experience, in proud association with Hendrick’s Gin, is set to make the pilgrimage up the plateau for its long?awaited Jozi debut. Dedicated to the exhibition of short film as a critical art form, Short & Sweet, will showcase a hand selected bouquet of short films, animations and music videos in the eclectic, interactive atmosphere of Johannesburg’s newest venue, from November 2013.
Much like a certain exquisitely unusual, quadruple-distilled gin, Short & Sweet has amassed a dedicated following through the originality of its content and the intoxicating allure of its ambience. Taking root in the mystical confines of an underground club in the basement of Braamfontein’s Alexander Theatre, the inaugural Johannesburg season will offer guests an evocative selection of short films, animations and music videos from around the globe, with an emphasis on supporting local talent.
Running over four weeks, limited seating and bespoke spirits will ensure an environment of elegant intimacy. Adorned with a fully stocked bar, a high definition projector, complimentary Hendrick’s Gin cocktails, live digital art to ease the burn of intermission, popcorn and impromptu performances, Short & Sweet provides the consummate cinematic experience. Expect a vibrant, socially infused atmosphere in which interested and interesting folk share ideas, network and celebrate creativity.
