FinArt Creative Leadership Forum is a financial literacy crash course to educate creative professionals in the basics of financial literacy, whatever their prior knowledge might be.
It is designed for visual artists, designers, photographers, film makers and architects at any level of their career. FinArt Creative Leadership forum is part of Jo Anke Gallery’s program to mobilise young creatives to engage with financial knowledge so that tomorrow’s creative leaders are equipped with wise financial choices.
The workshop will be led by a team of financial management experts in personal finance, savings, investment and tax; Eunice Sibiya, head of Consumer Education at FNB, Gary Kayle, founder of…… and Florence Maine from SARS. Participants will leave the workshop with a variety of knowledge; and a better understanding of financial management and planning skills as a creative. Topics will include tips for tracking deductible expenses; how creatives can start saving and get out of debt; understanding self-employment and individual tax; and tips to live financially healthy.
Participants also have an opportunity to enroll for a personal finance short course worth R1500 free of charge. This 6-8hour course is offered by The Money School and Boston College through their joint foundation Truth About Money.
FinArt is supported by The Money School, Boston College, FNB, SARS and Spark Gallery.
